Breakfast At The Patio 28th Jan 2015, by AnimalCare
Breakfast was very early this morning.
It was peaceful as Mr Zurik hadn’t come…yet.
But came, he did.
We feed him twice a day, but he cannot get along with the PatioCats, so we are looking for a home for him.
If you’d like to give him a home, please do let me know. Mr Zurik is an extremely “manja” cat and very clever too!

December Blankets 28th Jan 2015, by AnimalCare
These were the blankets that we gave away in December to friends who have helped us silently and anonymously over the years. The moment we declared we were going to continue running the Fund, our friends were one of the first ones to start the donation ball rolling again. Eleven more were also given away, but these were returned to us for auction, so you shall be seeing them later when we put them out! We thank all our friends very much!
A classic patchwork sewn with scraps. Really green in e...

What's a photo worth?
For thousands of shelter animals around the world, a single picture can be the defining factor between adoption, or death.
During a visit to Cyprus, U.K.-based photographer Stuart Holroyd came across the home of a British pensioner who was taking care of dozens of stray dogs. The pups – some blind, some three-legged, all adorable – only had hugs to share despite a life of unbearable hardship. "There was an overwhelming sense of love from these dogs that just hadn't ha...

Cow Mau: Seeing The World With BOTH Eyes Again! 27th Jan 2015, by AnimalCare
Today is the big day for Cow and for all of us, folks, and it’s good news!!
The vet started by snipping off the two stitches and then he put some local anaesthetic into the eye.
As Cow opened his eyes, the third eyelid fell back into place. Good, at least it’s not stuck. In some cases, it gets stuck and it needs to be snipped under mild sedation. First hurdle passed, though this doesn’t indicate anything at all about his ulcer.
The vet said we have to wait for the eye to open u...
