Weekly Education Tip: Let your cats scratch!
The SPCA is against the declawing of cats, viewing it as unnecessary and inhumane. A scratching post is not a mere ...

How do forests combat climate change? Trees not only
shade us from the sun, they also prevent the soil from drying out, reducing heat loss in the process. Their roots which hold onto the soil around them and absorb water reduces the risk of landslides and floods.

WILD ANIMALS ARE NOT PETS
In Singapore it is illegal to keep most wild animals as pets, and for good reasons:
1. Wild animals do not make suitable pets. Wild animals who are kept as pets usually experience poor welfare, as it is very difficult to provide for their complex needs in our homes (e.g. their behavioural, social and dietary needs). It’s also impossible to recreate their vast and varied natural habitats.
2. Many exotic pets are abandoned by their owners to die a slow death from st...

When Zurik Met Cow 21st Feb 2015, by AnimalCare
Was it explosive?
This happened a few days ago…
Mr Zurik appeared to be taunting the Inside Cats at his side of Stargate and Cow was on his side.
My husband decided to let Cow out.
Cow came out, walked slowly toward Mr Zurik and let out his famous terrifying war cry, right into the latter’s face.

Mr Zurik apparently took a few steps back and backed away…slowly.
Maybe the KGB-trained cat knew running would only antagonise Cow and make Cow chase him...

I had to carry Tiger and put him into the basket because he was too intimidated by the titans.
Can Lion come in with me?
Lion was Tiger’s first toy when he first came to us. He has never forgotten his toy.
When Cow, Bunny and Pole bullied him, Lion was his solace. And not forgetting good old Uncle Bobby too – Bobby protected Tiger from being bullied.
Aww…
