Cow Attacks, But Bunny Fights Back! 26th Feb 2015, by AnimalCare
I was in the kitchen washing up after the cats’ dinner when I heard the all too familiar Cow-growls. I looked out of the window and saw Bunny and Cow, and a fight was about to break out.
It happened too fast, and by the time my husband rushed out, there was fur everywhere (Bunny’s fur – cats shed fur when nervous) and he said Bunny was chasing cow. I shouted to him to use the water-hose, but unless you’ve experienced enough cat-fights (which I finally have by now), your ...

Heidi’s Eye (and More Z-Stories) 26th Feb 2015, by AnimalCare
Poor Heidi…
I came back from work today to find her with a watery right eye which could hardly open.
So I applied warm salt water on it and she could open the eye after that. An appointment has been made at the vet’s this evening (it’s the earliest I could get).
Meanwhile, Heidi asked to go out and went into the “sick-bay” by herself.
For the PatioCats, you only go into the sick-bay (the cage) if you are sick. Or rather, you are forced to go in if you are sick and ...

Two Bacoff Products Are Back (by Donation) 26th Feb 2015, by AnimalCare
We are bringing back two of the Bacoff products (by popular demand) and they are both by donation.
These are the 5 litre bottles of the deodoriser and the disinfectant that effectively eliminates the parvovirus and the novovirus.
However, we only collect stock when there are 4 bottles (to make the trip worthwhile). And it’s only for self-collection from Subang Jaya as it’s far too expensive to deliver by post.
Details: www.myanimalcare.org/gifts/
For the small 500ml bottles, please g...

3 MORE DAYS LEFT TO SHOW YOUR WARMTH TO THE ANIMALS!
We still need your help to meet the target!
Here is the story of one of the animals you’ll be helping:
Last Christmas was a special day not only for our rescue team, but also for a tiny fellow barely 40 cm long.
The ACRES Wildlife Rescue Team was called when someone spotted a snake in their house, sneaking under under a sliding door. When the team reached the location, they were surprised to find that the snake was not a native species...

Ginger’s Free-And-Easy Tour Of Bunny’s Place 25th Feb 2015, by AnimalCare
Ginger had been sitting outside the grille of Bunny’s Place for….well, forever, if you like. He whines and I think it’s because he wants to go in to make friends.
Say what you like, but Ginger thinks Bunny’s Place is a cat’s haven. And he thinks all cats are nice and friendly like him. Like Tiger and Tabs.
So, this afternoon, I opened the grille and let him in!
(Shh…The titans were fast asleep after their mid-day snack.)
Only Tabs was awake. Tabs was the tour...

Now, Who’s Been Trampling On The Dianthuses? (and Other Z-Stories) 25th Feb 2015, by AnimalCare
My pretty “pinks” (the dianthuses) had been trampled on for a few nights in a row, resulting in two plants on the brink of death. I’m trying desperately to save them.
Who has been trampling on them?
Finally, last night, I think I identified the culprit.
No, it’s not Ginger. This photo was taken in the afternoon.
Last night, I saw Daffodil at the trays. I think (though I have no photo-proof) she loves flowers and she has been sleeping on the two plants! Well, maybe not s...

370,000 Reasons To Spay & Neuter 25th Feb 2015, by PetFinder.my
Should you really spay or neuter your cat or dog? What difference does one animal make? A lot, actually: One female cat and her offspring can pave the way to the births of 370,000 cats in just seven years! Spaying and neutering is the single best thing that you can do to help solve the dog and cat overpopulation crisis.
Spaying and neutering procedures are routine and affordable and can prevent hundreds of thousands of animals from being born into a world that tragically has no place for them...
