More “He Ain’t Heavy” Stories 5th Mar 2015, by AnimalCare
Jia-Wen had a rare two-day break in Jeddah, so he flew back for a visit.
Time for some brotherly bonding with the cats, despite the long 9-hour flight through the night.
This is NOT staged. The two Royal Guards went up by themselves!
Ever since Cow recovered from his eye problem, he has been more…approachable and less “scary”.
But with Cow there, Bunny didn’t dare to approach.
So, I kept cheering Bunny on….
Go, Bunny, go on, don’t be afraid, just go…...

Zurik’s “progress” 5th Mar 2015, by AnimalCare
The photos (and Vincent’s song!) should speak for themselves!
Breakfast with the PatioCats!
Vincent sings:
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oT57tjz9py 8)
The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows when
But I’m strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother
So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We’ll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain’t heavy, he’s ...

NEWBORN KITTENS RESCUED IN POURING RAIN
Animal rescue volunteer Encarni was walking her dogs in Barcelona in pouring rain yesterday when she saw a box on the walkway. Inside were 4 newborn kittens, their umbilical cords still attached and without a mother cat. There was mommy was nowhere to be seen and the box was slowly filling with water meaning the kittens would have drowned to freezing cold rain water any minute.
Encarni wrapped the kittens up to her shirt and took them with her. So far all...

According to inside sources, dogs can be real jerks.
PetFinder.my recently interviewed a number of cats, all of whom were offended by the recent popularity of videos of felines behaving badly – knocking things off tables, shredding curtains, booting their canine house-mates out of dog beds, and so on. "It's biased media coverage!" they howled.
So here you go, kitties. Yes, dogs can be jerks, too.
In all seriousness, cats and dogs often become best of friends; their rivalry is too often ...

Updates On 5th Mar 2015 5th Mar 2015, by SPCA Singapore
Fostering an animal can be a wonderful bonding experience for you and your family. The rewards are intangible, as you would be actually saving a life and making a difference.

Introduced to help us save lives, fostering is a way of providing individual attention and accommodation for animals too young to be k...

Hamilton Horse Rescued After Becoming Stuck In Snow Drift 4th Mar 2015, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
SNOW SO DEEP, EVEN THE HORSES GET STUCK
Yes, this has been a wildly snowy winter in New England. At the Harmony Fund headquarters, we've been shoveling and shoveling and shoveling. Here you can watch as one horse is rescued from a deep snow drift. This is a common situation for people and animals. Softer pockets of snow can easily swallow you up, much like quick sand, and it can be very difficult to wriggle free. So thankful that this horse is now doing just fine.
