The Three Wise Owls
8th Apr 2015, by AnimalCare

It was raining this afternoon and it was just perfect for making owls! It took me the whole day, but I think it’s well worth the time, effort and the FUN! Here you go: From left: Little Boy Blue (just adopted), Ms Pink (already adopted) and Red Pepper (also adopted). The making of Red Pepper and Little Boy Blue: Jessy wanted a red hot nerdy owl. Making good use of used Pos Ekspres envelopes to cut out various sizes for the eyes. To make it nerdy, one big eye and one small eye! The p...

LET’S CATCH UP WITH KATHORA, AN OLD FRIEND. Back in 2014, we wrote a Facebook post about a turtle we rescued in Pasir Ris, who had been run over by a vehicle. The poor animal had suffered severe injuries to her carapace, and the trauma had probably caused a permanent dent in her shell as well. Kathora has since come a long way, and is now able to eat and swim independently. She spends most of her time basking in the sun at our sanctuary and showing a 24/7 smiley face to all of us. (: Her 201...

Another Feedback On Path-Away
7th Apr 2015, by AnimalCare

We started offering Path-Away as one of our Gifts by Donation on 12th April 2014 (why, it’s almost one year now!) and have since given out 374 bottles (by donation). We have also been receiving very good feedback on its efficacy in healing various skin ailments. It even helped my own Tiger when he had sporotrichosis, as a supplementary topical spray. Here’s another feedback we received today from one of our readers who has requested anonymity: Hi, Kah Yein. I’m happy to inform ...

A quadruple amputee Rottweiler named Brutus is getting the chance to walk again thanks to a new set of artificial limbs. Brutus, who lives in Loveland, Colorado, is only the second dog to ever have four prosthetic limbs. Just yesterday (6 April) afternoon, we were alerted to a cat spotted to be trapped on a roof beam, at a block at Bedok Reservoir Road. Our rescue pair relied on a long catchpole and a long ladder to rescue the cat. Our informer, from Light of Life vet clinic, also provided (ground) support, no less, tapping a pink, floral-printed safety net, to catch the cat in case. The cat was then reunited with the owner. Our thanks to Light of Life vet, for the tip-off and the rescue support! We would al...
