On Saturday (11 April), SPCA's dedicated volunteer team of Dog Mentors as well as our very own Dr Kang Nee, of cheerfuldogs.com, conducted an interactive workshop for dog owners and dog lovers called "Through the Dog's Eyes". It featured fun and interactive games for our participants and our canine residents to explore force-free, rewards-based training methods that they can apply on their own dogs. We've managed to get at least 50 motorbikes washed (and also waxed) at our motorbike wash fundraising event last evening, all within 4 hours, and thank all our valued supporters and friends who have made this possible. There were also brisk sales of SPCA merchandise at the event.
Once again, kudos to Fify Adnan of Marriott Vacation Club for breathing this idea to life and spearheading this event.

Alida was three years old and Mr. Gibbs was a playful puppy. Both were incredibly devoted to one another. You see, Alida needs Mr. Gibbs for more than just a playmate outside. She needs him in order to breathe.
Alida was diagnosed with a rare lung disease called Neuroendocrine Cell Hyperplasia (NEHI) when she was an infant and now requires oxygen to help her breathe all the time.

However, in the past, we’ve also had readers who ordered our gifts but do not bank in their donation and the gifts are stuck with us until someone else kind-heartedly buys them up.

There are some items which we use in large quantities on a regular basis and these are :-
1. Disinfectants like bleach, eg. Clorox, Depex, etc.,
2. Dishwashing liquid to clean the food / water bowls,
3. Petfood, both canned and dry are always welcome
4. RICE!!! We use about 40kg each day so will go through 280+ kg every week.
5. Garbage bags
6. Newspaper
7. Cardboard boxes
8. Food / Water Bowls

The Next Two Nerdy Owls

(still waiting for confirmation on their “adoptions”)
The base is a curtain sample.
The pupils have to be handsewn.
I couldn’t make square-rimmed glasses, so round glasses would have to do.
The final touches are the little feet!
This one has nerdy eyes.
Ginger has a particular interest in “ginger” owls.
And Daffodil seems to like owls too.
