I LOVED making this blanket as it’s “real” patchwork in that I made use of scraps, literally!
Dug out all the reds and pinks…
I made parquet patches, in no particular pattern. After all, that’s why it’s called “patchwork”.
I’ll do the final selection of which piece goes where….never trust a human.
They almost always get it wrong.

He left a legacy:
Sadly, Burrell, who was 57 and suffered from pulmonary disease, died a month later. While he didn’t live long enough to make his CAFE program a reality, because of Burrell “a lot of people in the neighborhood started getting into their pets,” says Bell. Now neighbors and family members are pitching in to care for the animals who meant so much to him.

Just last evening (27 April), we were alerted to a cat in distress, found firmly wedged between the window panes of a first floor flat unit at Tampines Street 43.
On arrival, our Rescue Officer, Daniel, gently nudged the ginger/white cat slowly down a pane, then using a catchpole to release the cat safely on the ground.
