We are advising the owners to surrender the dog so it can be rehomed in a family who have the time and means to care for the dog well. We will follow up with the DVS officers about this case, and we hope fo...

Yet another case reported to us about a dog that was left outside the compound without adequate shelter. Our officers have spoken to the owner, who says the house is under renovation. We have advised them to find a safe, sheltered area within the compound to relocate the dog, or get someone to care for the dog temporarily. We will monitor to see if any improvements made.

Official SPCA comment on the posts over the last 18 hours: A request was made by the owner in which the dog was housed. SPCA deliberately delayed the request and gave the owner time to think over before requesting euthanasia. A week later, the owner called to urgently have the dog taken to be euthanized as the dog was unmanageable. Furthermore, the dog has bitten a member of the family. A form to request for euthanasia was duly signed. We deem that the people staying in the house are the rig...
