On Tuesday, 17 March 2015 at about 8:30am, a white male puppy was found, allegedly dumped, alive, in a green rubbish bin near unit 21G Jansen Road by the unit’s domestic helper.

Still remember it?
When we first met it, it lost a front leg, and the meat and bones are seen.
After operation, it recovered fast and we returned it back to where it was found.
Kind volunteers continued to look after it.
Thanks to everyone who donated for its operation.

Jon Tham’s 2nd Charity Run For Us!! (68 Km Interstate)

Last year, Jon Tham ran in his first ultra marathon (50km) and raised RM5000 for AnimalCare.

Once they were the legendary mermaids of the ocean.
Meet the graceful dugongs (Dugong dugon).
Another name for these aquatic herbivores is the ‘sea cow’, as they feed on a diet of vegetation - mainly seagrass - at a rate of up to 50kg a day.
Dugongs do not have fins, which easily distinguishes them from other marine mammals, especially the dolphin, despite being similar in size and shape to some degree.

When we met this Isis, a 10 pound cat who was discarded by her family, we thought long and hard about whether or not to change her name. Should she continue to enjoy this special name given to her by the family who once loved her? Should she share her name with a terrorist group responsible for so much violence?

SMILE! ALIEN AND HERSHEY STRIKE A POSE
A few weeks ago, we introduced Alien - a Hermann’s tortoise – to another tortoise, Hershey. Despite the size difference, Alien was not pleased by Hershey’s presence and started to show territorial behaviour by shell-ramming Hershey. Alien has since calmed down and learnt to co-exist with Hershey.
