I was really lucky today as Jasmine offered to drive me to Pet World. We met Joy there and set-up was faster with 3 pairs of hands.

Cat Wins Hero Dog Award

And this year's National Hero Dog Award goes to... a cat?!
Back in May, 2014, Good News Network shared a story about a cat who saved a little boy by scaring off an attacking dog.
This weekend, that tabby cat, Tara, formerly a stray, was awarded with the Los Angeles SPCA’s National Hero Dog Award, an honour usually reserved for canines.

Earlier this week on Monday (22 June 2015), we rescued an injured dog found in the drain outside the Blind Centre. It suffered from a slipped spine. According the vet, the chance of walking is very slim, but miracles do happen. If you are interested to foster or care for this sweet fella, please do approach us at our shelter or at our weekly adoption events!

Appeal for Information: Rabbit found (allegedly abandoned) in Toa Payoh
On 24 June 2015 (Wednesday) at about 4.30pm, a rabbit was found allegedly abandoned in a white box inside lift B at Blk 174 Toa Payoh Lorong 1. The rabbit was found to be in very poor physical condition, was severely emaciated and dehydrated with a suspected broken jaw and with maggots crawling around it in the box. It had to be humanely euthanised to end its suffering.
