Just last Friday (14 Aug), SPCA went to the rescue of a community kitten heard mewing in distress, within a car’s engine compartment, at Joo Chiat Place.
Our rescuer, Daniel, played aloud an audio clip of a mother cat calling her kittens, using his mobile phone, to lure the kitten towards him. The kitten then fidgeted and came into view. At an opportune time shortly after, Daniel scruffed it, with his hand, and lifted it out of the compartment.
The black/white kitten, found to be alright ...

Malaysians’ average water usage per person is over 200 litres/day which is among the highest in the region. The inefficient water usage amongst the citizens on top of the massive population has resulted in tremendous water demand that stresses the available supply of water. Changing the way we think about and manage our water, in addition to having the knowledge and skills to take the necessary actions is a critical step in helping to ensure the country’s water security

But they've asked for help with their cat rescue work specifically.
"We have a huge pet overpopulation problem, particularly with cats in the poverty stricken Appalachia ...

MACAQUES ARE MASTERS OF DENTAL FLOSSING!
Humans may be reluctant to floss their teeth, but macaques don't seem to mind.

Prison Puppy Raising Program
Leader Dog's prison puppy raising program pairs Future Leader Dogs with model prisoners who have demonstrated they can be trusted to provide 24/7 care to a puppy for up to a year.
