As a No-Kill shelter, we have always been supportive in any stop-killing-innocent-animal movement, for that we would like to urge the public to support and attend the "Stop Killing, Start Spaying" Rally which will be held on:
Date : 23 Nov 2015 (Monday)
Time : 1.30pm - gather at MBPP Pound at Jalan Sungai, Penang
Plan : Walk to KOMTAR to hand over a memorandum to the state government, to urge MBPP to allow dogs adoption by the public instead of killing them.

*** UPDATE ON THE TABUAN PLAZA PUPPIES ***
The two boys always around the laundry next to H&L captured the hearts of many. They are now in the home of Senty Leykom, the Animal Welfare Officer at the SSPCA Shelter. Yes, Senty works 6 full days a week caring for our shelter animals, and then spends the rest of her work day and day off fostering special cases like these. They are receiving skilled care for their skin conditions -- we hope to show you great "after" photos of the two boys soon.

Heroic Police Dog Diesel Killed By Terrorist
The heroic police dog Diesel was blown up by a suicide bomber during the siege in Paris.
The seven-year-old Belgian Shepherd died this morning in a firefight with suspected ISIS militants behind the Paris massacre who were holed up in a flat.
She was sent in to the building to sniff out booby traps but was blown to pieces when a woman came out firing her AK-47 at police and then detonated her suicide vest.

Sometimes miracles happen.
Judy sent out the adoption request and within the same day, someone from KL responded. The adopter drove all the way from KL to Ipoh to ferry Prince (the dog) back. Prince was taken to the vet for a check-up and had blood tests done too. And he was groomed!

Nobu was rescued with a serious injury, he was in a lot of pain. As we did not have the resources to treat him, we sent him to a private vet. On 16th Nov, he underwent surgery to repair a humeral fracture. He is now discharged and has a long road of recovery ahead at SPCA Selangor. The total charges for treatment, surgery and boarding came up to RM3,300. We seek your kind help to help cover this cost, we would be grateful for any amount donated!
