An FAQ On Infused Water 5th Feb 2016, by AnimalCare
There were some queries on infused water ever since the first post about my attempts at doing it on Tuesday, so here’s a good FAQ:
http://www.infusedwaters.com/faq
The most frequently asked questions:
How long should I infuse the water?
A good rule of thumb is to infuse for 1-2 hours at room temperature or in the fridge for 3-4 hours to achieve potent flavor and water color. Do you like your water really fruity and tangy? You can infuse overnight or up to 12 hours!
If you infuse for...

Tabs Skywalker’s Catwalk 5th Feb 2016, by AnimalCare
I’ve been wanting to share this for many months, but I just couldn’t get the photos of Tabs doing the catwalk. I guess only a video would do….
Tabs walks the catwalk all the time. She is so ladylike that she crosses her front legs when she walks to the point of almost stumbling sometimes!
I guess this is the best photo I can get. Look at her front legs – they are always crossed when she walks. She struts around like a model on the catwalk and it’s really, really ...

Photos From WWF Malaysia's Post 5th Feb 2016, by WWF Malaysia
Did you know that the World Wetlands Day falls on 2 February each year? Olga Willnelia, our Miss Conservation 2015, has this to say about wetlands:
“I never realised how beautiful wetlands could be until my first visit to Klias wetland last year. I even spotted some proboscis monkeys perched on the trees by the river!
After that trip, I started reading more about wetlands and found out that besides providing Sabah with tourism opportunities, our wetlands also guard our coastlines from eros...

CAT RESCUED FROM ELEVENTH STOREY LEDGE
On Sunday, 31 January 2016, a concerned caller alerted us to a situation whereby a cat was perched precariously on a ledge, on the 11th storey in Woodlands Street 32. Utilising a long catch pole noose to secure the cat, our animal rescue officer, Daniel, swiftly brought the cat to safety. The cat was then brought back to SPCA, for vet consultation.
The cat appears to be domesticated, wearing a grey collar with a bell attached onto the collar. If th...

The suffering of billions of animals hangs in the balance, and we are so close to tipping the scales toward a more humane future.
Last October, more than 100,000 HSI supporters urged the World Bank Group to update its policies in order to save farm animals worldwide from a life sentenced to extreme confinement. The World Bank has since consulted in 21 countries around the world and listened carefully to our plea to save farm animals. Now’s our chance...

Tourist Tragically Killed By Elephant In Thailand 4th Feb 2016, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
ELEPHANT RIDE ENDS IN TRAGIC DEATH OF TOURIST IN THAILAND
His death comes as a stark reminder that wild animals are exactly that- wild. They are not meant to be ridden or used as photography props. If they are, the chances are they have been abused in some way to make them scared of humans. And sometimes these animals simply can no longer take the abuse and exploitation and will one day “snap”, often with tragic consequences.
“If you can ride, hug or have a selfie with a wild animal, the...
