WAITING SO PATIENTLY -- consider giving one of our older puppies a chance to show their loyalty and love. We have some wonderful dogs at the shelter under one year of age, fully vaccinated and already neutered. They are eager to be trained, healthy and playful, and "what you see is what you get" -- now fully grown, their personalities are apparent but they haven't learned any bad habits. You will make all the difference in their young lives if you can provide a home.

Five years ago, a retired bricklayer called Joao Pereira de Souza found a penguin drenched in oil on the beach near his home in Brazil. Realising the bird would be doomed if left unaided, Joao took him home, cleaned him up and fed him sardines. And named him Jingjing.
