Happy 8th Birthday to PetFinder! Yep, we're turning 8 today. It feels like forever since we found a loving home for our very first cute doggy. It's been 3,000 days of non-stop hard work, but every second of it is worth it when we see a new sparkle of hope and joy in a precious life. There are now 30,000 happy families — where 4-legged stray furries are showered with love and care, while the owners are rewarded with a lifetime of joy and loyal companionship. We have also worked hard to enco...

BARF And A New Brand Of Natural Yoghurt For The Cats
18th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare

The training to eat BARF is progressing very smoothly with even Cow, Pole and Tiger asking for more BARF now. I’ve increased the BARF to two meals now – breakfast is BARF with Monge and lunch is BARF only. I will still have to give them Monge as well as kibble since I might not be the only one feeding them at every meal. They need to be able to eat all three types of food. Handling BARF requires grit (on the part of the human) since it’s raw food. Meanwhile, at the patio&...

Ginger’s Scare Of His Life
17th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare

I don’t know if you remember sometime ago, there was a dog with a collar in our neighbourhood, but we could not locate his owner. Well, the dog has been adopted by a friend in the neighbourhood and that’s all good. This dog must be very young, because he’s hyper active and very friendly. He often tears the netting of his (new) home and escapes to the playground to look for adventures. Today, the dog came to our house because our gate was open and he even came inside the house....

Harness Training!
16th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare

When Mimi the cat visited us at Pet Fiesta coming on a leash (like a dog!), I was totally intrigued. Then Oreo wrote to me to tell me that he too goes for walks on a leash (like a dog!). Oreo suggested that I could try putting a harness on my cats to see if they would take to it. After all, Oreo started off, in his own words, “flipping like a fish” too. This was precisely what Cow did when we put the harness on him years ago and we gave up after that. The only time that the harness ...

BARF And Vincent’s News
16th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare

Ever since that disappearance act, Vincent has been home a lot. Thank goodness! His appetite is fantastic and he loves BARF. In fact, he doesn’t like kibble anymore now. Breakfast is still Monge. I thaw the BARF in the fridge overnight, so by morning, it’s still cold. That’s why I still give Monge in the morning. Cold food in the morning might cause them to vomit. That’s Vincent polishing up his breakfast. For lunch, it’s BARF. The Inside-Cats still share a can of...

Daffodil’s Visit To The Vet’s
16th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare

On the day that Vincent went for his dental surgery, we also took Daffodil to the same vet. We found her limping that morning, lifting up her right front leg whenever she walked. Not wanting to take any chances, we decided to take her to the vet’s for a check-up. Daffodil has never been anywhere away from here except for the time we caught her and sent her for spaying. That was the only time. She didn’t expect to be put in a carrier, so it wasn’t difficult catching her and put...
