Cow Back To Spraying Again (hooray!) 1st Jun 2016, by AnimalCare
Yes, Cow is back to his spraying habit again and this is GOOD!!
Although the urine is still blood-tinged, the fact that he can spray means he is recovering!
He tried to pick on Tabs too, and when we stopped him, he took on Tiger. Poor Tiger…
Okay, Cow is back in action!
After one day of no spraying by Cow and no bullying, Cow is back now.
Still blood-tinged but it means his bladder is not blocked and rather than straining to urinate just a few drops at a time, this is quite a bit of ur...

Cow To The Vet’s (FLUTD Day 2) 1st Jun 2016, by AnimalCare
I brought Cow to the vet’s again today, because I cannot trust myself in palpating his lower abdomen to check for blockage. It felt soft, but I wasn’t sure.
Last night, I managed to coax Cow to eat some of the RC SO kibble.
Just a little bit. I mixed the kibble in with the wet SO.
Everyone else is eyeing at the RC SO. Everyone, except Cow.
In fact, I had a hard time keeping everyone else away from snatching Cow’s food.
Even the PatioCats want to eat it.
This morning there ...

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - DOODLES AKA DICK TRACY
We are saddened to learn about the passing of Dick Tracy (Doodles). He lived to a good age of 24 years old and passed on recently on 15 May 2016.
Doodles was a subject of a cruelty case - discovered tied to the back of a pickup truck and dragged for a few good metres before the truck was stopped.
His owner, Lawrence described him as a lovely cat. Despite losing his sight, he was in good spirits and looked for rubs and cuddles.
May Lawre...

The Great 'Vancatmeow' Adventure Down Under
Having spent 10 years in the corporate world, one day Richard East just had it. The man quit his job, sold his house and most of his possessions. He bought a VW van and hit the road with his rescue cat, Willow, in Australia.
“I wasn’t happy at work,” Richard told Mashable Australia. “I didn’t want to go overseas for six months, and then return to a similar job, with the same situation. That’s why the van came in, so I could make a change ...

RARE GLIMPSE OF A BANDED FILE SNAKE 31st May 2016, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
Singapore is home to more than 50 species of snakes. Most of them live inland in our nature reserves, and some have adapted to living in urbanised areas due to the presence of prey animals such as rats and frogs.
There are also a few snakes species that live along or around our coastal areas, such as the native banded kraits and yellow-lipped sea krait. Another species that prefers this habitat is the banded file snake. Here, we get a glimpse of a baby banded file snake making his way into the...

Cow Finally Drinks Water (FLUTD) 31st May 2016, by AnimalCare
I’m so totally freaked out that I spent the whole day watching Cow because I’m so worried about his FLUTD. Even though the vet told me in many cases where there is no blockage, the disease might resolve itself through a change in diet (to Royal Canin’s S/O), I’m still worried. I think it hurts me more looking at him straining to urinate and that only a few drops would come out. But Cow seems to be totally okay about it. He’s taking naps in between. Seems as cool as...

Vincent’s News 31st May 2016, by AnimalCare
Ever since Vincent’s second gum jab, things have not exactly gone as planned. I’m not sure whether that’s good or bad, though.
I ordered the Oxyfresh Pet Deodoriser, meant to be dropped into their drinking water… The vet had told me that in some of his gingivitis patients, it helps.
I only put a drop into the water bowl. Only a drop and we humans cannot even smell a thing even if you put your nose to the bottle.
Guess what Vincent did?
He boycotted the water bowl...
