Something New In Bunny’s Place
9th Mar 2016, by AnimalCare

I’ve always wanted to have a (sort of) cat tree in Bunny’s Place. It has to be something natural, of course. A real tree, preferably. But not too tall lest Indy or Pole use it as an escape route to get out. So our best bet was to…well, plant a tree. We have a frangipanni tree in the vegetable garden, and it has two big branches. One of the branches needs to be cut off as it keeps over-arching to the neighbour’s. We decided we’d try to plant this big branch (though...

Vincent’s Stomatitis Condition (and Progress)
9th Mar 2016, by AnimalCare

This morning, Vincent ate his food and there was a bit of difficulty giving him his medicine. I tried to open his jaw, but he pulled back. This means it still hurts. We decided caging him was causing him much stress and we did not want him to have a negative perception of being caged, so we made a calculated decision and let him out. Vincent did not come back for lunch, but he did, for dinner! When he came back, I had no choice but to carry him and gently put him back into the condo. He did not...

Dog For Adoption In Subang
9th Mar 2016, by AnimalCare

Remember the dog with the blue collar found wandering in SS18 for days? It’s been more than 2 weeks now and no one has claimed him. My friend is fostering him temporarily. He came to look for me this morning and wanted to come into our house. I’ve suggested to my friend to get him neutered as he is clearly humping. If you’ll like to adopt this dog, please contact me at chankahyein@gmail.com.

Vet Dines With Abandoned Dog
8th Mar 2016, by PetFinder.my

Vet Dines With Abandoned Dog Sometimes all it takes to comfort someone having a rough time is to come down to their level. And that is exactly what a US vet in Georgia did when he climbed into a cage and ate his breakfast, from a dog bowl no less, with neglected pitbull Graycie. Dr Andy Mathis decided the best way to comfort the abandoned dog was to get up from his dining table and get onto the concrete floor next to Graycie for his morning cereal and coffee. The unique dining experience was ...

Gifts By Donation: The Enchanted Blanket (1)
8th Mar 2016, by AnimalCare

My friend, May Hoh, saw the “enchanted castle” fabric donated by the anonymous donor from Penang and she ordered a blanket from us. It’s ready now and will be shipped to May soon. Thank you very much, May, for your kind donation of RM200. It reminds me of Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage! I really had fun sewing this and matching the cloth. My mum did the backing. Here’s the finished blanket. There is still enough cloth to make 2 more “enchanted” blanke...

Vincent, Safe For The Night
8th Mar 2016, by AnimalCare

I was a little apprehensive about leaving Vincent caged up at the patio for the night. My worry is what if he needed to defend himself or run for safety and is trapped. This worry also came about because late last night there was a huge rat in the garden in Bunny’s Place. I am totally baffled as to HOW to rat would even want to come into Bunny’s Place. I mean, don’t rats know that this is cat kingdom here and they should stay far away? Anyway, my children heard a squeal (yes, ...
