PLEASE DON’T BUY A DORY!
After the release of the 2003 animated movie Finding Nemo, there was a sudden increase in the purchase of fishes that were featured in the movie, especially clown fish. This led to many of these animals being bought on a whim, and later discarded.
Just last month, the movie Finding Dory was released in cinemas, and there has already an increase in demand for blue tangs (the species that “Dory” belongs to).
Here are some reasons to think twice before keeping blu...

Regarding Noahs Ark Ipoh Nai Second Wave Accusatio.. 22nd Jul 2016, by SPCA Ipoh
Regarding Noah’s Ark Ipoh (NAI) second wave accusation towards ISPCA, we (ISPCA’s committee) felt utterly disappointed.
NAI is in fact, difficult to be satisfied given that ISPCA has unconditionally agreed to let NAI continue to handle the cattery, with the hope that NAI can take over and have more manpower to take care of the cats.
We, all the ISPCA committees really hope that NAI’s person-in-charge or committees can stop all these immature act and instead, pay more time and attention on ...

Tiger Has Epilepsy 21st Jul 2016, by AnimalCare
It started about more than a month ago. But I didn’t recognise it.
The first time I noticed it, Tiger was scratching his ear, then suddenly, he scratched very vigorously and fell off the table. I thought his claw got stuck to his fur and that made him panic. Furthermore, Tiger has always been a bit clumsy all his life.
Then, it happened again and again. All in three times, about 7-10 days apart, more or less. I did not jot down the dates, unfortunately. I did get a little suspic...

Cleo And Tiger’s Baths 21st Jul 2016, by AnimalCare
Last weekend, we decided to bathe Tiger and Cleo.
We normally don’t bathe our cats because they groom themselves very well. But Tiger has always had this “sticky” and oily sheen on his coat and he also has been scratching quite a bit lately (more about this in the next post).
Cleo has been having what seemed like flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) for about two months now. She has had it before (many years ago) and the vets said it probably started out as FAD but later became an au...
