Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, to all our Muslim friends and supporters.
While you celebrate the holiday with your family and friends, do spare a thought for our animal friends. Our shelter remains open on public holidays and our animals continue to await their forever homes.
Operational hours of our adoption area on Hari Raya Puasa (Wednesday, 6 July) is from 11 am to 4 pm.
We look forward to your visit.

How often have we published posts about lost and run-away animals nearing or during the many festive seasons in our multi-cultural country? And how often have we heard of animals falling sick during this season, very likely due to the use of fireworks, as attested by vets?

A few days ago, a friend texted to ask if we know of any bird vets – he had rescued a young bird with a broken wing.
There are many vets around town, but many do not treat birds.
So I texted a few friends and thankfully, Koo was able to provide the name and contact details of a very experienced vet of birds and exotic animals. DONATE YOUR OLD NEWSPAPERS, PLEASE
When you’re done with your newspapers, you usually throw them away or recycle them, right?
You could help animals at our shelter by bringing your old newspapers down to SPCA at 50 Sungei Tengah Road, Singapore 699012 and depositing them with our Reception.
Newspapers are used to line the bottom of enclosures and play areas. As they get soiled quickly, newspapers are in constant demand at our shelter.
