The lesser dog- faced fruit bat is one of the most common bats in Singapore. They can be found in both primary and secondary forest, in urban areas such as parks and gardens, and even in mangroves.

Meet Julia and Walter. She can't hear, and neither can her pup — they were both born deaf. All day long, messages are pouring in from 'underdog' animal rescue squads across the planet. They ask for food, veterinary medicines and help protecting animals from cruelty. Almost all of them feel very much alone and they have no one else to turn to.

Another Fit From Tiger

I just witnessed another fit from Tiger a few minutes ago. This time, he was under the sofa and I heard the sound. It lasted only about 5 seconds, just like the last one, which was 3 days ago.
The trouble is, I think there would be episodes where I would miss because I am not able to monitor him 24/7.
I would need to discuss treatment options with the vet tomorrow.

ANOTHER VET INTERN WHO JOINED US IN JULY!
JiongRui is a year 2 veterinary student from the University of Melbourne. He conducted his extramural attachment programme with our animal care department from the 18th to 29th July.
JiongRui is a fast learner, able to pick up knowledge and new skills very quickly. During his attachment period, he was the caretaker for the iguanas. He also conducted an enrichment session by providing cactus for the star tortoise at the Main Sanctuary Area.
