Five Cats’ Day Out

Is It Pigeon English?
They may not be reading the classics yet, but a University of Otago study has revealed pigeons can learn to distinguish real words from non-words.
In the two-year research project, four Dunedin pigeons were trained to peck four letter English words on a touch screen, or peck a symbol on the screen when a four letter non-word like "mtsp" appeared.

DOGS GET THEMSELVES INTO TRICKY PREDICAMENTS TOO.
Just last week, we highlighted a case whereby a four month young kitten was rescued from a 12 storey ledge.
On Sunday, 9 October, a concerned member of the public alerted us to a case of a dog on a ledge, on the third floor of a HDB block.
The dog appeared to have pushed aside the temporary barricade that the owner placed on her service yard and could not get back in thereafter.

Lately, there have been many, many non-compliant applications. Applicants would write the wrong bank account number, or there is no name of bank. The receipt would be issued to their nicknames (not their real names) or the receipt is not signed and stamped by the vet.
