Here at PAWS, we have over 500 animals. We strongly believe in feeding our furkids well while they're under our care, and so we ensure each animal receives two meals a day. Every day, about 80kg of food is consumed by our animals - 50kg by our adult dogs, 20kg by our puppies and 10kg by our cats. That amounts to a whopping total of 2,400kg of food per month!

SATURDAY NIGHT CRIME: WORRYING STATUS OF WILD OTTERS
TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network, has recently published a study which found that over the past 35 years, 6,000 otters have been seized in 15 Asian countries through 167 enforcement cases.
The study revealed that the number of live otters meant for the pet market that were seized over the last five years has increased to an average of six individual otters per seizure as compared to three to four previously.

This month, our 24-hr Wildlife Rescue Hotline received a call about a raptor whose foot has become tangled up in some netting at a driving range. The challenges were immense as we saw Ranger, a raptor, trapped at a height of around 15 metres above the ground.

A hundred years ago, there were thought to be about 100,000 tigers roaming in the wild worldwide. By 2010 only about 3,200 tigers remained, equating to a shocking 97% decline. Tiger Has Another Epileptic Seizure

It’s been 9 days since the last episode. Tiger has been on Neurobion (B1, B6 and B12), Fish Oil, CoQ10 and Vetri DMG. I was very hopeful that he would not have another attack, but it happened at 8.12am this morning.
He was sitting in Pole’s condo platform when suddenly, I heard a thud. Tiger had fallen down (luckily it’s a soft landing onto cardboard and the cage floor is rather springy too) and was seizuring.
