Timeline Photos 23rd Feb 2017, by SPCA Sarawak
They were thrown away by their owners.
They were born on the streets.
They simply got lost.
They didn’t create their situation.
But they have to live with it.
They have to die with it.
Starving to death.
Dying of untreated injury.
Dying of untreated disease.
Dying painful deaths at the hands of cruel human.
Most people look at stray animals as a nuisance.
These are actual living feeling beings.
They lead incredibly brutal and painful lives.
Because of things that we humans have done.

Rosie’s News – A Setback (Day 6, Evening) 22nd Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
We brought Rosie for a check-up and the intended subcut fluids this evening.
Complaining all the way….
When the vet palpated her liver, it felt more enlarged than Monday (but not as big as Friday). However, this is still a setback. We were really hoping it would be smaller than Monday. But it is not.
We don’t know why. Could it be due to her going out and possibly eating something outside. Or, as the vet discussed at length, it could also be something that I can fed her. Maybe pre...

Rosie’s Afternoon News (Day 6) 22nd Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
Rosie disappeared for the whole morning and that got me worried. But then again, the rest of the cats also slept the whole morning, right after breakfast until almost 1.30pm (remained in the same position, same place). So I gathered Rosie must have been sleeping too.
Finally, at around 1.30pm, I spotted Rosie under my car in the porch.
Thank goodness! She is back.
I offered some food, but she wasn’t interested. Ordinarily, Rosie is a small eater. She eats frequently, but cannot eat ...

Injured dog picked up in Bukit Jambul
On my way home, near Inti Bukit Jambul Penang, I found a dog sitting in the middle of the road, he had been hit by a car. He is now in the hospital - nothing serious. The dog is wearing a collar, and looks like an owned dog not a stray. Can everyone please share to help find his owner?

Acres | Overcoming Human-Wildlife Conflict 22nd Feb 2017, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
CO-EXIST NOT CULL
Are the birds in your neighbourhood singing their hearts out? Are macaques monkeying around in your estate? Culling in addition to being inhumane, results in other animals replacing the ones who are trapped and removed. Let’s learn to co-exist with our neighbours instead.
Take your first step by checking out and sharing our advisory sheets, and more action updates to come very soon from ACRES!

Vincent Eats Too! 22nd Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
When Rosie fell ill, actually Vincent had also skipped some meals. I was worried his stomatitis was coming back…
We had been dutifully giving him his Plague Off on a daily basis for months now and lately, I thought perhaps we could give it on alternate days. Looks like that might have been a bad idea…
So, we quickly went back to a daily dose of the Plague Off.
And this morning, he ate A LOT!
Thanks also to the can of Recovery (which I’m told, is absolutely delicious) f...

Rosie Asks For Food!!!! (Day 6, Morning) 22nd Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
Last night Rosie slept in between our pillows again. She still had no appetite and had to be force-fed.
But this morning, upon waking, she came down the kitchen and asked for food!!
I offered her home-cooked, but she didn’t want it. She looked at the kibble container, so I quickly poured out some kibble for her….
She ate!! She ate!! All by herself.
That’s Heidi with her.
Then, Rosie rubbed on the Monge box.
How smart are they, right?
At your service, madam….at your ...
