These are the five pieces chosen by someone who chanced upon our blog. I’ve taken the liberty of sewing them first while awaiting payment.

Another Mickey Blanket

We wish to thank Jessy Kek’s son (!) for ordering another Mickey blanket from us. He liked the first Mickey blankie so much that he asked if Popo (my mum) could sew him another one. So I said I will sew this second piece.
Both pieces of the Mickey cloth are donated by Jessy herself. I matched it with the chequered cloth that we have. I must say, it’s a really nice match too!

Another Songkety Foldable Bag!

I made a bag out of the songkety cloth I bought yesterday!
UPDATE: This bag is sold! But there’s still more cloth, if anyone else is interested.
The cloth is a really good buy too – it’s fairly thick!
I think it comes in several colours, but I cannot remember exactly. Will go back to the shop to check once the CNY holidays are over.
I am replacing the earlier navy blue bag with this one as I thought the navy blue one was too plain.

More Cloth For Bags And Blankets!

Since I knew I’d be sewing through Chinese New Year, I went to the textile store to see if there was any suitable cloth for sewing bags or blankets.
As it turned out, yes, there were…plenty too!
I matched these two pieces and was thinking of making a “yin yeong” bag, ie. one side is the chequered piece and the other side is the floral one. However, will only sew if there is any order, otherwise, it can be a bit tricky to sell! If no one orders, I will use it for ...
