Sarawak Identifying Possible Source Of Rabies Outbreak, Says DCM 2nd Jul 2017, by SPCA Sarawak
KUCHING, July 2 - Sarawak identifying possible source of rabies outbreak, says Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
"We will make sure that the rabies is contained as soon as possible. The Veterinary Department, will be calling for a meeting with the Health Department, and Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) tomorrow to identify the best possible options to contain the spread further."

ILLEGAL SALE OF SOFT-SHELLED TURTLES AS PETS
Based on a tip-off on alleged sale of soft-shelled turtles as pets at a farm in Pasir Ris, ACRES ACIU (Animal Crime Investigation Unit) investigated further, and found about 14 juvenile soft-shelled turtles for sale at $6 each. The information was handed over to the AVA for enforcement action, and the animals were confiscated.

I am really happy to share that we have not thrown away a single piece of trash for a week now.
Yes, there is nothing in our garbage compartment.
ZERO TRASH!
All paper, plastics, cans and glass bottles have been recycled.
All organic wastes have been composted in the garden. I do this daily.
All cat poo and urine balls (with OKO Plus litter) have been flushed down the toilet or buried in the garden.

Tiger’s Seizures (a Running Commentary) 30th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
I had another discussion with Tiger’s sporo vet again this morning. The vet thinks perhaps Tiger is mentally stressed and that is why he is holed up in the tv rack all day. This made sense, of course, but we don’t know why he might be mentally stressed. No one bullies him in the house and no cat goes near him too. Occasionally Tabs drops by to say hello by way of sniffing and that’s about it.
Then, Tiger’s (new) vet had told me to try and look for triggers to the seizure...
