Twenty tree species were planted in WWF-Malaysia’s reforestation area in Bukit Piton, Sabah. Maria Fung, the Lead for Reforestation (Sabah) initiated a pictorial record on the tree species there.
It's a guide for reforestation practitioners who want to replant degraded forests, especially the forests for orang-utans’ habitat. We should leave their world a little better than we found it.

Tiger’s Seizures Restarted

Tiger was seizure-free for about 2 weeks, then the seizures started again. It was actually during his treatment for the wounds (while he was on antibiotics) that the seizures stopped. That’s a strange, if it’s not coincidental. Maybe he has some underlying infectious disease that causes the seizures and the antibiotics addressed that.
We cannot be sure.
Meanwhile, we will just monitor him. He is still on prochlorperazine, which is Plan A. We have not progressed to Plans B and C yet,...

Some Reflections

For the last one week, ever since we were informed that the Selangor Neutering Subsidy (SENS) is open to all Selangorians (those who have a Selangor address on their IC’s), we have been gradually informing our many Selangor regular applicants that they are now eligible to apply for the Selangor government funds.
The criteria for eligibility are (1) Selangor address (2) Selangor vet.

Getting the 22kg Google Trekker camera ready for the road. We used it to take 360 photos to fill and Tun Mustapha Park (TMP) on Google Maps in all it's glory.
Google Trekker is a camera rig made up of 15 cameras at megapixels each. It takes a picture every two seconds and gives a panoramic view. Software patches all the 15 cameras photos together to make one large image.📸

FOOD FOR THE HURRICANE VICTIMS IN BARBUDA
We made a donation this morning to assist with feeding the VERY HUNGRY animals on the island of Barbuda. Following Hurricane Irma, many dog, cats and horses and livestock were abandoned when Barbuda's 1,800 residents escaped the approaching 185 mph winds. Volunteers are now trying to provide food and care after the animals who are on their own without care.

BABY IS SAFE NOW
This beautiful young cat has been living at a feral cat colony. He somehow lost his home and found our feeding station. He was rescued on Saturday and is now in foster care with Harmony Fund Founder Laura Simpson. He can't get enough of his canned food and cuddles.
Our charity mission encompasses feeding programs for homeless cats all over the planet. None of this would be possible without our amazing supporters. Thank you!

It has been 13 years since WWF-Malaysia began working in collaboration with Sabah Parks for the gazettement of Tun Mustapha Park (TMP); which was officially gazetted on the 19th of May, 2016.
