Grey’s Wounds (photo From Lee Soo Farng) 9th Apr 2024, by AnimalCare
Soo Farng sent these photos while doing the dressing on Grey’s wounds tonight.
Poor Grey got all these wounds while living on the street. So to people who say that street animals can survive, well, not all of them “can survive”.
Imagine what would have happened to Grey if Soo Farng not not rescued him. Very likely these sores would turn gangrenous and Grey would be condemned to a slow death on the street. Coupled with the compression fracture on his spine, that would have been...

Is The Grass Greener On The Other Side? 9th Apr 2024, by AnimalCare
To the Monsters, it’s a resounding YES!!
And they probably mean that literally too, because by coming over the Bunny’s Place, they get to eat grass!!
This was breakfast this morning, before the whole Advocate-licking fiasco by Robin.
Then I let them go over to Bunny’s Place. They haven’t been over for at least two months now.
Happiness is eating grass!!!!
Ginger found the golden stash of new Pogonatherum!!
The post Is the grass greener on the other side? appeared first...

The Super Fussy Blondies 9th Apr 2024, by AnimalCare
I decided to try a new food for the Blondies today since they are so incredibly fussy.
This is Cindy’s Complete Pate. It isn’t a new food, though. I’ve tried it before last time on our cats, but our cats didn’t much like it then. This was before the Monsters or the Blondies’ time.
The food is from Italy and it’s a complete food, unlike most other canned foods that are complementary (snacks).
Normally, according to the importer, their complementary food sells ...

Robin’s Updates 9th Apr 2024, by AnimalCare
Robin gave me a scare this morning when he licked the Advocate spot-on on his fur and started foaming at the mouth. I administered first aid by flushing his mouth with the garden hose and gave him two charcoal tablets. I also contacted four vets for advice and was told there was no need to bring him in; only to monitor him for two more days.
The incident happened at 9am this morning and I have been monitoring him the whole day.
He appears to be normal and is definitely very active.
Here’s ...

Some Photos Of Grey (from Lee Soo Farng) 9th Apr 2024, by AnimalCare
Ref: https://animalcare.my/2024/04/09/medical-aid-for-1 -kitten-in-cheras-lee-soo-farngs/
Soo Farng’s friend shared these photos with us:
According to Soo Farng, Grey is very comfortable and happy in her house. He eats very well too, and sleeps comfortable with no fear at all. The only problem now is that her other two rescued cats are “being dramatic”. One has refused to eat and one has refused to come downstairs to where Grey is.
Well, cats will be cats. That’s not unc...

Creamy Returns Again! 9th Apr 2024, by AnimalCare
Creamy came to our porch yesterday.
I think his family may have balik kampung and he came to ask for food.
This happens quite often during festivals when families go back to their hometowns and some of them leave their cats out.
However, he didn’t stay long enough yesterday for me to feed him.
But this morning, he came again.
Gerald and Misty are still wary of him, but at least they did not run away when he came to the feeding station.
I’m glad I managed to feed him, he ate lo...

Medical Aid For 1 Kitten In Cheras (Lee Soo Farng’s) – Grey 9th Apr 2024, by AnimalCare
We have fully sponsored RM347.00 for the first-line medical treatment for this rescued male kitten, Grey.
We were alerted to this kitten’s case when a friend told us that Ms Lee had noticed this kitten dragging his feet on the road and was attempting to rescue him. It took Ms Lee the next night to finally rescue Grey. Grey is not able to walk possibly due to some injury to his hind legs, but the good thing is that he has a fantastic appetite.
As soon as we learnt of this case, we approache...

In A Recent Announcement, It Was Revealed That The.. 9th Apr 2024, by SPCA Singapore
In a recent announcement, it was revealed that the NParks will not impose restrictions or regulations on the use of shock collars. Instead, they will introduce guidelines aimed at raising awareness of the potential risks involved in utilising these devices. The SPCA is deeply dismayed by this decision.
There is growing scientific evidence that demonstrates the harmful and counterproductive nature of aversive training methods. Several countries, including the UK, have banned the use of shock col...
