For indigenous peoples, a pristine environment can fulfill their rights to ensure the survival of their culture, traditions and well-being. At the same time, the exercise of human rights, including the rights that we all have to information, consultation and participation (also known as procedural rights), is vital to the protection of the environment. We are blessed with tropical rainforest, mangroves, peatland, and montane forests. While development is meant to increase our standards of living and grow our economy, ...

Ah the miracle of life. 🀩🀩🀩 #whelping #jackrussellterrier #vethighlight

The local people in Semporna use mangrove wood for construction of houses and jetties, and other uses. We are part of the natural ecosystems and our very own survival depends on them.
