Tiger passed away early this morning.
We wish to thank all of you for your very kind wishes and prayers for Tiger since yesterday. We are incredibly touched by the support and comfort.
We wish to thank Tiger’s vets, Dr Agas and Dr Kee, for looking after him. We are comforted that Tiger was under the care of two very compassionate and caring vets. Dr Agas never gave up on Tiger, even though the prognosis was poor. In fact, he laid out a 5-day treatment plan and gave us hope. We are ve...

Sharks do not belong on our plates! Do your part and say NO to shark fin and shark products. Saving sharks is good for our marine biodiversity, which we heavily depend on to sustain us.
For many years, the ecological role of sharks remain poorly understood and unresolved. To a certain degree, scientists have debated over how predators like sharks could influence coral reefs structures.
However, past studies indicate that when in close proximity, sharks could create a strong fear of predation ...

Tiger Is Hospitalised 9th Jul 2018, by AnimalCare
Tiger had been biting himself whenever he threw a fit and sometimes, these wounds looked pretty bad. But so far, all the wounds had recovered. But there was this rather large one on the side of his abdomen. I had been monitoring it and although it was big, the wound did heal externally, like the rest of them. Tiger was active and his appetite had always been good.
7th July 2018 – Tiger didn’t want his normal cooked food. So I gave him raw food, which he ate. He was still active.
8th ...

Why Is My Dog Barking ?. We Are Often Asked How To.. 9th Jul 2018, by SPCA Singapore
WHY IS MY DOG BARKING ?
We are often asked how to curb unnecessary barking in dogs.

The key to addressing unnecessary barking is to find out what is causing the dog to bark and then removing the cause or causes of that barking. The aim is not to stop all barking for good , but to get the barking down to a lev...

One Look At This Cat, You Must Be Wondering How It.. 9th Jul 2018, by PAWS
One look at this cat, you must be wondering how its face can be so symmetrically asymmetrical. It is the two-faced cat or known as Chimera cat.
Chimerism is the genetic condition where the cells contain 2 types of DNA resulting from the fusion of two embryos. In other words, they are their own fraternal twin!
In fact, we have a cat in our shelter that has chimerism! You can find her (#70325) at C2 section.
