Shampoo Bars – The Greener Way To Wash Our Hair! 12th Jul 2018, by AnimalCare
Please watch the video: https://www.facebook.com/attn/videos/2 14240399077833/
According to the video clip, one shampoo bar is equivalent to three medium-sized bottles of shampoo and can last for over 80 washes!
I’ve just proposed the idea to Orifera. Let’s hope they can come out with their very own shampoo bar soon!
But for now, perhaps we could try using a suitable soap as a shampoo?
The whole idea is to reduce the use of plastics.

The Tiny Butterflies Came 12th Jul 2018, by AnimalCare
It was past 2pm just now when I went out to the garden to feed Mr Zurik.
Without Tiger to make the meal calls (his lunch call was always, always sharp at 1.20pm every day, without fail), lunch was late today.
When I poured away the water from Mr Zurik’s water bowl, three tiniest bluish butterflies fluttered around right in front of me.
They were so, so tiny. And for a moment, one cannot help but smile, seeing the tiny butterflies frolicking in the sun.
They fluttered around here.
A...

Neutering Aid For 4 Cats In Damansara, Shah Alam And Subang (Lee Lay Kim’s) 12th Jul 2018, by AnimalCare
We have sponsored RM240 for the neutering of these 4 cats.
Dear Dr. Chan,
Thank you again for helping with Snow’s neuter bill. I am sending four more appeals, two males & two females. I know it is quite a lot to ask, will understand if you cannot approve. Hopefully Selangor Neutering Subsidy will reopen with fresh funds so we can channel our appeals to the government. Above are the four stray cats, with vet receipts and collages.
Thank you very much.
Warmest regards,
Lee Lay K...

5th Petfood Donation To Mun Mun Furkid Haven 12th Jul 2018, by AnimalCare
Today, we sent another batch of petfood to Mun Mun Furkid Haven.
This time, it is only dog kibble.
Alps Natural dog kibble 13kg
Lamb – 12 packs
Turkey – 12 packs
This would be our last petfood donation for the time being as we have used up the allocated funds for this purpose. Also, with the increase of neutering claims, we have to prioritise our funds for neutering as that is our main mission.
We wish to thank all donors, past and present, for making these food projects possible!
W...

Shark Awareness Day 1 12th Jul 2018, by WWF Malaysia
Mythologized, feared, revered. This ancient predator captures imaginations across the world and plays a critical role in balancing the marine ecosystem. However, threats such as demand for shark fin and overfishing are decimating populations.
It’s time to make a breakthrough for sharks and build a better future for wildlife and humanity🦈http://pand.as/how-you-can-help-sharks #WWFSharkAwareness

Another Beloved Wild Lion Hunted 12th Jul 2018, by AnimalCare
This is a message from HSI:
Recently, Skye, a male lion and pride leader with cubs, was allegedly killed by an American trophy hunter in South Africa. Skye was apparently baited in the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve, part of his territory that includes the protected Kruger National Park where hunting isn’t allowed.
Now, his disappearance has completely disrupted his vulnerable pride – the females were attacked by other male lions and one of his cubs has died while the other two rema...

Tiger’s Ashes, The Tiny White Butterfly And The Yellow Stains 12th Jul 2018, by AnimalCare
Tiger’s ashes came back a few minutes ago.
When we are ready, we will inter Tiger’s ashes at the same spot as Bobby’s since the two of them were very close.
Meanwhile, we are keeping watch on Tabs to ensure that she will be okay.
She has been sleeping on this mat a lot.
But at night, she still sleeps on the bed with us, which is her usual routine. Yesterday morning, she just wanted to spend the time in our bedroom looking out of the window, so we let her.
This morning, I play...

Today, Two Furry Strays Have Been Released Back To.. 12th Jul 2018, by SPCA Ipoh
Today, two furry strays have been released back to their original location where they were trapped for the TNR program. Currently, they are under the care of the owner of the shops there.
Along that street, there are approximately 5 strays that are under TNR program (with microchips inserted) and all of them are taken care of by the shop owners. As long as the strays are under ISPCA’s TNR program, City Council of Ipoh (MBI) will not do anything to them.
Thus, ISPCA hereby hopes that more sup...
