Our Cat Care Team is planning to make our cat holding cages more comfortable and hygienic, with enrichment to keep the cats happy and occupied!
We have 16 cages that need 'refurbishing' -- the cost for each cage is RM50, with a total cost of RM800.
The cages are actually two 20" x 30" cages joined to give the cats more space.

Did you know the total number of reported rangers to have lost their lives since 2009 is 871?
However, experts believe the actual number of deaths to be much higher than the reported number.
86% of rangers surveyed think their job is dangerous due to the risks involved when encountering and confronting poachers.
Last year Rachel Katumwa was killed in the line of duty whilst on duty in Virunga National Park.

Today is #WorldRangerDay. They work grueling hours doing a dangerous and physically demanding job. They patrol the forest border and capture poachers. We honour the lives that have been lost in the line of duty.
They also help scientists carry out field work, set up camera traps and collect specimens. Currently, the Sabah state employs rangers to protect parks and forest reserves.

In conjunction with #GlobalTigerDay, WWF-Malaysia's tiger team premiered a documentary aptly titled "On the Brink of Extinction." It highlighted the need to save the king of our forests.

It was a great opportunity for us to discuss how far along we've come to reaching our goal of doubling the number of tigers globally by 2022.
We also managed to shed some light on WWF-Malaysia's efforts towards preventing tiger poaching and how we're empowering local communities to aid in the protection of tigers.
