The Cutest Pet ID Tags 11th Sep 2018, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
We don't normally share products, but this one looks pretty neat. There's space on the back for special information about your pet's health, veterinary phone number, etc. What do you all think? Would this be a benefit for animals who are found? Of course, it doesn't replace safety measures for preventing animals from becoming lost in the first place.
Would love to hear your opinions. Thanks everyone.

A Meatless Quinoa Porridge 10th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
I was so inspired after listening to several of Philip Wollen’s speeches and one interview that I decided to “create” (oh wow!) my own quinoa porridge for dinner today.
Me create a meal? Yes, you read that right.
Here it is!
I made it using a slow cooker. First, I dumped in the quinoa, then added in all kinds of veggies (carrot, sweet potato, pumpkin, radish, tomato, onions), and lastly, water (I don’t remember how much water I put, but it should be about the amount need...

Vincent’s Evening 10th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
I took the vet’s advice and let Vincent play his staring game. The vet was absolutely correct in saying that cats are just “gods of another religion” (!!) and it’s sometimes futile for us to try to understand them, especially from our limited human perspective.
How would we know what they want, right?
By 4pm, Vincent came to the kitchen to ask for food. This time I was quite sure he would eat, and I was right.

Vincent’s Staring Game 10th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
Vincent ate at 7.30am this morning, so I didn’t expect him to ask for food so early, but he came to the kitchen on his own at 11.30am, seemingly asking for food.
But he didn’t want whatever was offered.
It was a staring game again, which I’m getting used to by now, but it does take a lot of patience to wait for minutes before offering the next type of food, only to be turned down and the cycle repeats until I’m finished with whatever options I think he might want.
Since h...

I Am A Smart Rabbit. Did You Know That Rabbits Can.. 10th Sep 2018, by SPCA Singapore
I AM A SMART RABBIT!
Did you know that rabbits can be litter-trained? Being intelligent animals, rabbits will naturally choose one or a few spots or corners to relieve themselves.
To litter-train your rabbit, you will first need to limit the area where your rabbit roams. Identify the spot where your rabbit usually relieves itself and place the litter box there. You can use more than one litter box to train your rabbit. If your rabbit urinates out of the box, do move it to the area until it ge...

What About Me? (Ginger’s Story) 10th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
One of Tabs’ favourite activities is to sit on cushions and bolsters.
She does it in the living room and every night, on our bolster. She also takes over my entire pillow whenever she gets the chance.
It’s all about sleeping on a soft surface. She loves doing that.
Ginger: What about me?

Vincent’s Stories (the Big Vomit) 10th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
After the subcut at noon yesterday, as expected, Vincent felt much better and ate quite a far amount for each meal.
He ate dinner yesterday.
He even ate supper and all seemed well.
We also gave him the first capsule of Azodyl at noon yesterday, after returning home from the clinic.
However, this morning when I came downstairs, I found a lot of vomit on the landing and Vincent was sitting beside it. To my surprise and disappointment, I found the Azodyl capsule, almost intact, just opened up (two...

Of New Tricks, Subcut And Kidney Damage (Vincent’s Stories) 9th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
Getting ready for breakfast this morning.
Vincent’s menu – what will he be willing to eat today?
No…
Do you want Ginger’s food, Vincent?
Not really…
So, nothing was right for Vincent this morning.
I didn’t want to force-feed him since he had eaten yesterday evening. Will try to refrain from force-feeding unless absolutely necessary since he could do without the stress.
He went back to the landing.
After a few minutes, I decided to try something else&h...
