I Concede Defeat (Spider-Cat Wins!) 1st Oct 2018, by AnimalCare
I’ll let the video speak for itself…
https://myanimalcare.org/wp-content /uploads/2018/10/WhatsApp-Video-2018-10-01-at-14.4 5.40.mp4
Look at how smart he is. He is using the gap on the right where there is no netting.
Cats should rule the world, you know.
Okay, Indy, here’s the deal:
If you behave and do NOT spray, you can stay and we will remove yesterday’s reinforcement (to make it easier for you to climb in and out).
Indy: Easier? Ha ha ha…
But….if you ...

Its Pawssible Neutering Campaign. In 2013, Berjaya.. 1st Oct 2018, by PAWS
It’s Pawssible Neutering Campaign
In 2013, Berjaya Youth raised funds through the “It’s Pawssible” Charity Concert. These funds were to be used for neutering animals using the Mobile Animal Clinic which was also sponsored by B.Youth and Berjaya. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get approval for the use of the Mobile Clinic since then.
However, the good news is Berjaya has now agreed to open the funds so that it can be used for the neutering of animals for registered animal shelt...

We Visited A Temple Last Week Around 7th. Mile Vic.. 1st Oct 2018, by SPCA Sarawak
We visited a temple last week around 7th
Mile vicinity. The Comittee members seek our help to sterilise and vaccinate their dogs, which were taken care by them all this while. (We are not able to disclose the name and exaact location).
Most of the dogs were abandoned on the streets, and the Master had brought them into the temple, and raised them up. All the animals residing at the temple are healthy and well fed. DVS team was there to help to help vaccinating all 52 dogs against rabies.
Mr L...

An Official Ban On Soil-Eating! 1st Oct 2018, by AnimalCare
The vet texted today that Vincent is to be kept away from the soil. So, it’s official now, Vincent – NO MORE soil-eating.
Luckily we were one step ahead and had already pebbled-up all the “soil-y” areas.
Vincent’s lunch of Cubgrub’s Rabbit and Chicken.
I added some Quail as well, but he didn’t seem to like it much.

In Sarawak, WWF-Malaysia promotes the conservation of native and indigenous fish species, including the ecologically sensitive but important “Semah” and “Empurau” in #Baleh watershed.
Among others, our works cover collecting information to guide better #watershed #management for the benefit of the rivers, its aquatic species and local communities.

No More Soil, Vincent 1st Oct 2018, by AnimalCare
I woke up at 5am this morning and found Vincent just coming out of our bathroom. He knows how to use the bathroom.
A little sad, though, because if he had just used the bathroom, there was absolutely no smell at all.
This is the time we WISHED our cats’ urine smelled. The smellier, the better (it shows the kidneys are doing their work of concentrating the urine).
So, our alpha amigos who stink up the pantry every day – ok, a small blessing. They can still stink up the pantry. T...

Vincent Eats! 30th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
We went out for dinner and also to buy more liver for Vincent.
When we came home, Vincent came downstairs, went out to the patio and must have found he couldn’t eat soil anymore, so he came in and came into the kitchen.
I offered him the freshly bought liver.
MAKAN!!!
After the liver, he went for Cubgrub (rabbit), but he didn’t finish.
A consolation for Indy (after failing to get in) – he gets Cubgrub Rabbit too.
Vincent didn’t have enough, so I gave him Cindy’s...

Project Spider-Cat 2 30th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
Project Spider-Cat 1 happened about 6 years ago when Indy made his historic escape from the (then) new cat fence in Bunny’s Place when we first moved in.
The classic greatest escape of all time: https://myanimalcare.org/2013/03/18/ind ys-escape-exposed/
Today, we have Project Spider-Cat 2. But it’s a relatively small project compared with No. 1.
You see, when we first moved here, the deal was that we would have a room, a pantry and the entire backyard for the cats (we brought al...

Project Pebble (to Prevent Soil-Eating) 30th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
So, I was trying to figure out how to prevent Vincent from eating soil again…my friend, Cathy, gave me a brilliant idea – use pebbles to cover the soil!
Cathy is always full of brilliant ideas. If you remember she came to help me Daffodil-proof Stargate2.
So, off we went to Sg Buloh to buy pebbles.
The pebble store was already closed, but another store which we often go to was still open and they had pebbles but only of one size and two colours – white or “black” ...

Vincent Eats Again!!! 30th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
I was really hoping that today’s vomiting was just a minor setback and nothing serious or related to a deterioration of his kidney condition.
The vet did ask us to give Vincent 2ml of Lactulose.
It was time for Vincent’s antacid and Tramadol (the cream).
So I took a chance and brought a can of Monge upstairs. I look at what we have (Vincent doesn’t eat kibble – smart cat), and he just ate Cindy’s this morning plus he’s been having a lot of raw food too. I reme...

Vincent’s Subcut 30th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
It was time for Vincent’s subcut.
Everyone else had lunch but Vincent didn’t want any. He walked away from raw food before I could offer anything else, so I didn’t want to force it.
I remember this theory from his first vet (which has proven true) that once there is vomiting, the cat associates being sick with the smell of that particular food, so it may be necessary to change the food for awhile until that association is no longer strong in the cat’s memory. This has wor...

Vincent’s Morning, And The Vomiting 30th Sep 2018, by AnimalCare
All prepared for breakfast at 6am this morning.
Vincent came down with everyone, but he didn’t want to eat. That’s strange…
Instead, he went out to the patio. I suspect he went to eat soil because when I went to look for him, he was licking his lips as though he had just finished eating something.
A bit of good news, Heidi was willing to lick some raw food this morning. Just a bit.
Shortly, Vincent came in and I offered him his usual raw food (I had laced it with probiotics)...
