Incredible pictures of of humpback whales ‘bubble net feeding’ in the Antarctic Peninsula. Working together in a group, they swim in a shrinking circle and blow bubbles below a school of krill to force them towards the surface.
The Southern Ocean is critical habitat for most of the southern hemisphere’s great whale populations. 🐋🐋

Today’s #TaxaTuesday, introducing the second Genus in Family Geoemydidae, Cyclemys (Leaf Turtles), which contain 7 species, C. atripons, C. dentata, C. enigmatica, C. fusca, C. gemeli, C. oldhamii & C. pulchristriata.
The species of Cyclemys that can be found in Malaysia is C. dentata, Asian Leaf Turtle. C. dentata is listed as ‘Near Threatened’ under the IUCN Red List.
