This is one of the reasons we don't encourage anybody to keep turtles as pets, besides the very obvious reason that it is illegal to do so.
Freshwater turtles, especially softshell turtles (like this one in the picture) grows up to more than a meter in length. And as such, they require much space and lots and lots of food and water. Keeping them in a small container is torturous.

I now know why Vincent has bad breath again. I spotted an ulcer at the tip of his tongue.
Sigh…
His mouth ulcers is an auto-immune disease and also related to his kidney failure.
Thankfully he can still eat. And this also explains why he is playing the staring game again. Maybe at times, he has trouble eating certain foods and that is why he keeps staring at me until I get it right.
