Hooray For Capsules! (about Vincent)

What a complete ass I’ve been…why hadn’t I thought of using capsules before this?
AND suffered so long in trying so hard to pill Vincent?
Capsules work! They really do. All I have to do is to cut up any tablet into tiny pieces so that the pieces can be stuffed into the capsule.
I think it’s all due to the rounded ends, which makes swallowing so much easier and less painful.

Every meal is a great challenge.
Vincent cannot be force-fed. He hates it. He resents it. He will resist and fight. So, it causes more stress on him.
I’ll attribute it to his “soldiery” pride. He’s a soldier. No soldier will give in a being force-fed.
So, it was about an hour ago that he came down from the staircase landing. This is usually a sign that he might want some food.

The Festive “dumping” Problem

Today, we received this information from one of our applicants:
During the last week of fasting n early week of raya when ppl balik kampung….i find many cats and kittens being dumped….they just leave the cats like that instead of spending for boarding…after raya they adopt new kittens.

Neutering Aid For 2 Cats In Desa Pandan (Zainab Bt Abdul Rahman’s)

We have sponsored RM120 for the neutering of these 2 cats.
Ms Zainab says that during the Raya period, about 20 cats were dumped in her area. Some were a few months old and some were mothers with kittens.
We have since subsidised the neutering of 15 cats under Ms Zainab. More to come.

Not Too Small, Not Too Big, Please…

This morning, Vincent came into our bedroom and woke me up at 3am. He called and jumped onto the bed.
There was no alarm from the clock.
Vincent was the alarm!
I got up and went downstairs with him to the kitchen. I thought he might want to eat, but no, he didn’t.
I don’t know why he woke me up.
He went back to the staircase landing and settled down, and that was it.
At 7.30am, everyone had their breakfast and Vincent was offered his bowl too.

Kucing yang biasa dibela di dalam rumah atau mempunyai tuan tidak pandai mencari makanan sendiri kerana sudah biasa disediakan semuanya.
Di kawasan yang baru, semuanya asing bagi mereka. Mereka akan menjadi clueless dengan manusia sekeliling. Ada yang menjadi takut dan tidak makan sehingga berhari hari. Bayangkan kalau ada jenis kucing yang picky (memilih makanan).
Kesudahannya mereka akan kurus, compromised immune system dan akhirnya mati.
