Vincent’s Morning 13th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Vincent came upstairs to greet me this morning!
Breakfast at 5.30am this morning.
Vincent was willing to eat a bit of Cubgrub too!
It’s still Monge season today! And just these two flavours.
And some renal kibble as well.
Then, it’s back to Vincent’s Hide-Away for a nap.
How about a photo for all your fans, Vincent?
His eyes look much brighter again.
We have gone through so many hurdles, haven’t we, Vincent?
I restarted Orozyme today. It’s to help with the mou...

A Parting Gift From A Long-Time Applicant, Ms Nujtiya Chareansouk 13th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
We first started helping Ms Nujtiya Chareansouk in February 2013 when she wrote in to enquire if we could help with our neutering aid for the dogs that her mum, Mdm Lim Tiang Seouk, looks after in Kangar, Perlis.
We assisted not only in neutering but also through our food donation. When our food donation ended, one of our readers continued supporting Mdm Lim with food donation for another year.
Nujtiya then went on to help the dogs in Johor, where she and her husband reside. We continued assisti...

COLD PUPS AT FACTORY IN ROMANIA
“Help us please, “ Ioana Marascu wrote in a plea this morning. “Ten puppies were dumped in the yard of a factory, freezing to death at -7° outside. The manager called the dogcatchers tomorrow to 'clean the yard'. We are overwhelmed by the whole situation, our shelter is full, adoptions are not many lately but the dogs rescued each day are more and more...”
“Urgent help is needed for vets, vet bills, food, shelter needs and many other needs. We HATE ...

Vincent’s Feasts 12th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
After breakfast this morning, Vincent had a long, long nap. I believe these long and restful naps are really good for him. It’s very nice seeing him being able to sleep in a recumbent position instead of the meatloaf pose.
Today, it was canned food all the way for Vincent.
I’m so, so glad there was no vomiting today. None.
Lunch at 12.40pm.
Lunch consisted of Monge’s Chicken, Omelette, White Bait.
Then Tabs asked for Cindy’s Tuna with Chicken.
Vincent wanted that too!...

Harry' Came In For His Post Operative Check To Ens.. 12th Dec 2018, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
'Harry' came in for his post operative check to ensure we can finally give him the all clear after his desexing and lump removal surgery. He developed complications secondary to his high activity coupled with his destruction of his Elizabethean collar and licking his wounds. Thankfully he responded to medical management and didn't require repeat surgery. 💚💚💚 #geriatriccanine #englishspringerspaniel #vetpostoperativecheck #caninenoncompliance

A hundred students. Twenty groups. Ten stations. Two hours. One race: #WaterQuest
.
This afternoon we pitted the International Eco-Schools Conference (IESC) 2018's delegates against each other to test their knowledge and understanding of all things water.
.
From building their own water filters to identifying organisms that are indicators of water quality, the students tried to beat the clock to solve challenging questions. Even the overcast sky didn't dampen their enthusiasm as they raced fr...

Reunited, It Feels So Good. At Spca, We Encounter .. 12th Dec 2018, by SPCA Singapore
REUNITED, & IT FEELS SO GOOD
At SPCA, we encounter many cases and stories every day. One of our favourite stories has to be when lost pets are reunited with their owners.
Yesterday, a kind member of public approached our reception counter with a golden-coloured toy poodle. He shared that he found it in Jurong and thought to hand it over to us, so we could help find the dog’s rightful owner.
With the power of social media, the dog’s family found out that their dog was at SPCA and rushed to...

No Time Left To Save Our Tigers - Letters | The St.. 12th Dec 2018, by Roots & Shoots Malaysia
"It is a matter of a year or two before the species loses its ability to cope with environmental and demographic random events and processes. There is no crisis greater than tiger extinction in Malaysia’s nature conservation history."
"I believe there are fewer than 150 animals surviving, scattered throughout the big forests of Peninsular Malaysia, locally known as the Central Forest Spine. The populations are already fragmented due to the loss of habitat connectivity, and to poaching."
