Please Spare Me The Emotional Blackmail 9th Oct 2018, by AnimalCare
We reject applications that are non-compliant or late. The policies are sent to every single applicant each time they write to request our financial aid. And this is regardless of how many times the person has applied to us.
So, the onus lies on the applicant to ensure that s/he submits compliant applications.
Sometimes, they don’t – If something is missing, we have to contact the applicant and ask for a re-submission – believe me this takes up MORE time than to process a compl...

She lived with people who cared for her for the last 5 years. Today is a very very unfortunate and sad day for Elizabeth and us at the shelter as she was brought in to be given up.

Everytime When It Rains, Our Residents Are Always .. 9th Oct 2018, by SPCA Sarawak
Everytime when it rains, our residents are always wet. We are trying our best, with limited resources, to build shed for them to keep them out from the rain; sitting under the rain and in a pool of water.
We would like to create more sheds for them. If you have any unused canvas, metal bed frame and etc, rather than keeping it in your little store-room, why not bring it to us, so that we can build sheds for our animals.
Donations can be drop of at the shelter daily between 10am to 11.30am or 2...

A Man Came To Our Shelter And Wanted To Surrender .. 9th Oct 2018, by SPCA Sarawak
A man came to our shelter and wanted to surrender his dog to us. His reason of being scared of rabies, is beyond acceptable. His dog was vaccinated against rabies, and in healthy state.
We had to reject his surrender as we have too many animals in our shelter. If you happened to come accross of his dog on the street, do let us know. We would not hesitate to post his picture.
At this point of time, please take adavantage of free anti-rabies vaccination. Vaccinate your pet against rabies, and m...

Ginger’s “grass Is Greener” Whining 9th Oct 2018, by AnimalCare
Ginger was whining outside my room all morning. I’d already fed him his dim sum (kibble) twice. And he was still whining.
So I let him in.
https://myanimalcare.org/wp-content/uploads/20 18/10/WhatsApp-Video-2018-10-09-at-06.08.33.mp4
Y es, this is all he wants.
He is quiet now.
I think Ginger thinks Bunny’s Place is a paradise for cats and he wished he could join the club.
The grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side, isn’t it? Even for cats.
