Putting Thoughts Into Action 4th Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
Do you like to make New Year’s resolutions? Or, is every day as equally good and important to you?
Whichever your stand is, please allow me to share these affirmations, written by a person whom I have the utmost respect for, Bhante Y. Wimala. He has charity projects in various parts of the world and like Tzu Chi, his Triple Gem team is also one of the very first to respond to any natural disaster in many parts of the world. And the big difference here is, HE is there. He is not sitti...

BASF Kids Fun Day @ Gebeng 3rd Jan 2019, by Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia
On 1st December 2018, we were invited by BASF Gebeng and MNS Pahang to co-organise a Kids Fun Day. We had a turtle mosaic making session, and kids had fun colouring their 3D turtle paper maches. Good thing that the weather held up for us! We're pleased to be able to share about our turtle conservation work to an audience we would not normally meet, i.e. those in the oil and gas industry. Hopefully the participants benefitted in one way or another that day, and will use the knowledge to make bett...

Reading Is A Thing Of The Past? 3rd Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
We have noticed that MANY applicants do not read our policies before applying. And this is why they send non-compliant applications.
Then, if they are first-timers, I will send them the link and ask them to please read so that they have a chance to resubmit (if they wish to). And yet, they don’t read.
The policies are in three languages, and yet, they don’t want to read.
Then, to make it “easier” (I’m guilty on spoonfeeding them simply because I want to reach out an...

Vincent’s Needles And Other Stories 3rd Jan 2019, by AnimalCare
My friend told me that I could purchase Vincent’s hypodermic needles (for his subcut) from Lazada and it costs much, much less. But I use the 21G for Vincent (recommended for cats) and Lazada didn’t sell that, so I search at Shopee and found it there.
It only costs RM10 for 100 (yes, ONE HUNDRED) needles. Shipping is RM12, so all in, it is only RM22 for 100 needles. That’s 22 sen each.
I buy them for RM1.00 each at the clinics.
So I ordered a box two days ago and it arrived tod...
