"Removing coal from the global energy mix is taking too long, too many forests are still being destroyed, and fossil fuel subsidies are ongoing despite their distorting effect on the market, a study has found.
There has also been insufficient progress in agriculture to stop harmful practices that increase carbon dioxide production, and heavy industry is not doing enough to use energy more efficiently, according to analysis carried out by the World Resources Institute thinktank.

" After more than a century, tortoises are once again hatching on the Galapagos Islands following the eradication of local 'pirate' rats.
Black rats on Pinzon Island - also known as Duncan island - had pushed the giant tortoises to the brink of extinction as they were feasting on their eggs.
Now the critically endangered Duncan Island Giant Tortoise, Chelonoidis duncanensis, have been born naturally on an island in a 'significant' breakthrough. " :D

Lulu's Rescue in Egypt has asked for a little help. They have 176 cats and dogs to care for and pet food has become so expensive in that country.
"We are really struggling, food is not enough for the animals and we can't seem to get donations higher," volunteer Issy Rosetti explains. "At the moment the animals are only being fed once a day and it isn't enough."

Today we mourn the loss of Chaos at our clinic. We as a team are all absolutely devastated and our hearts go out to his family. He went downhill from Monday and a repeat exploratory laparotomy today revealed a rare complication with a blood clot forming in the main vessel that feeds his guts and we couldn't repair the damage. Don’t stain your kitchen and dining table with wild meat. Refrain from buying, cooking and serving any wildlife such as pangolin and its’ scales. Pangolin scales have no medicinal properties and made of the same protein that makes up human hair and nails.
Pangolins are protected under the Sarawak Wildlife Protection Ordinance, 1998. Do your part. Save wildlife.
