Vincent’s Breakfast 4th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
Last night, I was so sick, I went to bed at 9.00pm. I’ve been having his horrible sore throat and cough for 3 weeks now. It just wouldn’t go away. I know my throat is the weakest part of my body, it’s been like this since I was very young. Once infected, I need medicines and I take a long time to recover. Just my throat, elsewhere is okay.
I fed Vincent his dinner at 7pm. But before that, in the evening, there was a moment of hope when I thought he might want to eat on hi...

Happy 13th Birthday Lewi. We Love You So Much And .. 3rd Mar 2019, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal
Happy 13th BirthDay Lewi. We love you so much and can't believe we almost lost you last week. Poor baby was hiding under the bed and not responding to my call which is very unusual and then I discovered he had a flaccid tail. My worst fears became a reality, did he get hit by a car while he went out for a short stroll?!? We still don't know exactly what happened but my beautiful boy required a tail amputation and we had to wait to see if he will be able to urinate and defecate to ensure his tail...

Timeline Photos 3rd Mar 2019, by WWF Malaysia
Sabah is home to a vast number of terrestrial species, all of whom are threatened by increasing loss of habitat, human conflict and poaching. Part of what the team in Sabah does include working with governmental and non-governmental agencies to monitor, find solutions and ultimately reduce poaching activities in forest reserves. Their work on the ground is long, tiring and often life-threatening. Yet they do it anyway because our wildlife are worth protecting.
This #WorldWildlifeDay, let us not...

Happy World Wildlife Day! Celebrate the day by setting up a goal, live our daily life with minimal negative impacts on wildlife and their habitats. No demand, no hunting! For a start, say no to any wildlife product like #sharkfin, #turtleegg, #hornbillcasque, #pangolinscale, any #wildlifemeat etc. Other than that, reduce single-use plastics and avoid throwing your rubbish into either rivers or seas. This would greatly help to reduce the impact to wildlife under water! Some marine animals may mis...

Updates On 3rd Mar 2019 3rd Mar 2019, by WWF Malaysia
The ocean covers over 70% of Earth’s surface, and is home to thousands of species of plants and animals - many of which we haven’t even discovered yet.
But marine life is being put under threat by harmful fishing practices such as overfishing and use of non-selective fishing gear, coastal habitat loss and climate change.
Industrial scale plastic pollution is compounding these threats. As we mark World Wildlife Day, join us in calling for a global agreement to stop marine plastic pollutio...

Taking Time To Listen To The Birds With Vincent 3rd Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
In the mornings, especially on weekends, we get a lot of birds in our area and their happy chirping fills the air.
I took Vincent out to the patio to listen to the birds.
My modified e-collar is working well. The drool on the plastic can be easily wiped off.
Tabs says hello to Vincent.
In fact, Tabs had been peeking in when I feed Vincent. She must be wondering what is going on.
Vincent wanted to go to the soil and I found out why – he wants to eat soil.
It’s the anaemia, I know. ...

Vincent’s Modified E-Collar 3rd Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I modified Vincent’s soft e-collar, for his needs.
I sewed a piece of soft plastic on the area under the chin so that I can wipe off his drool without wetting the e-collar.
It works.
Meanwhile, Vincent is using the towel to urinate on.
The soft e-collar serves as a convenient pillow/cushion for him to sleep on.
