A Minor Setback – Vincent Vomited 15th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Vincent vomited at about 12.50pm. I heard the sound, rushed out and saw a pile of vomit in Vincent’s hide-away.
It’s okay, Vincent. I quickly cleaned it up.
Sigh, from what I think, it could be due to the following reasons:
(1) Vincent ate too much or too fast this morning.
(2) The Semintra I sneaked into this food this morning. It’s been more than a mere coincidence now – it has happened too many times. But I gave Semintra yesterday, and there was no vomiting.
(3) He can...

https://myanimalcare.org/wp-content/uploads/2 018/12/WhatsApp-Video-2018-12-15-at-11.46.36.mp4
G inger is unperturbed.
Bunny can easily come in through that hole. Maybe he forgot…momentarily?
If you watch the video, Cow is right there too. Always nearby to lend a helping hand to his brother.
A conference on how to deal with the orange-coloured intruder.
Who, me?
I’m good with the whole situation.

It’s All About Boxes 15th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Boxes are so useful to cats. They can be used as beds or even houses.
Or as tables.
As steps up to a hide-away, which is also fashioned out of none other than boxes.
They can even be used as scratching pads (vertically or horizontally).
And for tearing up…yes, yes, yes!!

Vincent’s Morning – A Treat Of Cubgrub’s Duck 15th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Yesterday, dear Lin Li (of Cubgrub) brought over a bottle of Duck for Vincent. It is her Christmas present for Vincent. Thank you so, so much, Lin Li.
This is the 200g bottle.
I had to wait until this morning for it to be properly thawed before offering it to Vincent.
Wow!! Bingo!! He loved, loved, loved it!
Cubgrub’s Duck used to be Vincent’s favourite before he grew out of it and he didnt want to eat raw food for quite a long time.
He asked for more and more helping f...

New Policy For Claims: Compulsory Ear-Notching For All CNRM Female Dogs And Cats 15th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
We have said this many times over the years, but had not made it compulsory.
Now, we have to.
In the past, there had been cases where female dogs/cats were caught and taken to the vet by well-intentioned rescuers to be spayed only to be opened up and discovered that the female dog/cat had already been previously spayed.
While it is very possible to tell if a male dog/cat has been neutered (due to the size of the scrotum), it is often very difficult to tell if a female dog/cat has been spayed. Th...

We have provided an aid of RM200 for the neutering of these 2 dogs. These dogs are also the last few in Ms Hew’s present CNRM colony.
A farewell message from Ms Hew:
It’s very sad to hear this (shortage of funds) but I do understand your situation. Nonetheless, thank you for your kind support all these years. We
(Tang & myself) couldn’t have helped the strays if it wasn’t for your organisation.
Really appreciate AnimalCare Society and Dr Chan for helping me to go on e...

Vincent’s Day – New Foods! 14th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Lunch at 1pm – Monge and Cubgrub.
Tabs gets some extras before this is served to the Cow Clan.
Subcut as usual.
I ordered two new flavours of Monge for Vincent, in preparation for his “change” of appetite. These would be two flavours I haven’t ordered for years – Chicken Squid and Tuna Salmon. Both were not popular with our cats previously.
Dinner at 5.30pm – tried the Chicken Squid first.
Okay, but not too crazy about it.
Then, I tried the Tuna Salmon. W...

The Meeting Of Old Friends – Vincent And Zurik 14th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Vincent and Zurik’s friendship goes back to 2013. Vincent first came to our patio in January 2013 while Mr Zurik came a few months later.
Vincent came with Willy on the very same day, but Vincent managed to keep Willy out. From then on, Vincent became our soldier and patrol guard. So when Mr Zurik bulldozed his way into the patio a few months later, Vincent made it his life’s mission to drive Mr Zurik out.
But Mr Zurik is a KGB-trained cat, so Vincent’s mission lasted for years...
