Indy is one of those cats who must drink water from a running tap. He doesn’t trust water bowls. Yes, he trusts Syabas!
He has always drunk his water this way. Initially I was worried at the amount he drinks, but was told he is just a “hot cat” and loves to drink water.

Did Vincent “know”? 15th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
The house feels so empty without Vincent.
I took a nap yesterday afternoon and when I woke up, instinctively, I thought of feeding Vincent. Is Vincent hungry, would he like some food? Then, I realised he was gone.
Also, instinctively, I woke up at 3am today, as I had been doing for the past few months now. Every day at 3am, I lay in bed, hoping Vincent would still be alright when I came downstairs.
And he would be.
Right from the time he was diagnosed, I was told to prepare myself as his conditi...

Saying Farewell To Vincent 14th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I am comforted that Vincent’s passing was a very peaceful one and that it happened at home. He even came back to the bathroom and slept right in front of the entrance. It was like he had a choice to be exactly where he wanted to be.
I have always believed, in my limited experience, that animals choose the time of their passing. When it is time, they will let go.
No 50-50 surgery. No dilemma for me. Vincent decided it was time to go.
Golden lads and girls all must, as chimney sweeps, come ...

Vincent’s Decision 14th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
Vincent passed away very peacefully early this morning.
This morning was the only morning, for quite some time now, that I come downstairs without fear of what I might find, but with hope. Hope of a successful surgery today, so that Vincent may be free from the toothache. I had positive thoughts last night, that the surgery will be a success, that he will beat the odds and prove all predictions wrong (again), that we will be able to feed him through the esophagal tube and he will put on weight a...

Decision For Vincent (we Need Your Kind Thoughts, Please) 13th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I spoke with the vet about the tooth extraction. To cut a long story short, we are going for it tomorrow.
Initially the vet didn’t think it should be done because the reality is that Vincent doesn’t have much time left. But to me, it doesn’t matter how much time he has left, I don’t want him to be in pain for the rest of his (however short) time.
If we don’t do it, he will continue to be in pain and he will starve to death. As it is now, Ming-Yi came to ...
