It’s #WetlandsWednesday! Did you know apples can grow in mangrove forests?
It’s not the usual apple that you’ll find in supermarkets. This here is the mangrove apple tree (Sonneratia caseolaris), which is known as “berembang” in Malay. Its fruit doesn’t look like an apple though - it actually looks more similar to a persimmon!

This is such a tragic story. A female cat got pregnant and gave birth to 4 kittens in an unwelcoming house in Wangsamaju about 3 weeks ago. The owner of the house threw them out. The mother had to find a new shelter for her young. One day, a kitten somehow, crawled into the house and this angered the owner and the owner threatened to call the local council to get rid of them. Please find attached a collage of a stray cat I recently brought for spaying. The cat was found near 1 temple in Rawang. A nun there has agreed to look after the cat on the condition that we bring it out for spaying instead as it is against their belief to do so. May I proceed with posting the form and receipt?
