On World Elephant Day, Jane Goodall Calls For Canada Ivory Ban

August 12 is a day for big ideas about big animals. World Elephant Day stomped onto the scene in 2012 as a way to raise awareness about conservation efforts for Asian and African elephants.
Anthropologist Jane Goodall, known for her work with chimpanzees, is using this day to call on the government of Canada to ban the country's legal trade in elephant ivory.

Update of Ah Bi~~
Ab Bi had been rejecting food & water, so we put her on drip & hand feeding . Last week , she started gaining her strength & able to stand to drink but she still does not want to eat by herself . So no choice....we continue hand feeding her with AD canned food...
Hope she will be able to eat by herself very soon and recover to be a healthy happy kid.

'Honey' presented to our clinic few weeks ago and was assessed and referred for successful emergency surgery at U-vet. She came in for her staples removal and to assess her wound and recovery. She was full of happy tail wags and so much love which was super heart warming. She's being assessed for further treatment at U-vet which may include chemotherapy. Yesterday we went to Janda Baik TNRM Sanctuary to plant about 40 trees given by #FreeTreeSociety. Later we will have to plant grass. We are moving into the next stage where we need to build lots of enclosures with huts as quarantine areas for the dogs and cats before we let them roam free so they’d know this is home. Missing Zurik

After the dust settles, it’s all quiet now and I miss Zurik terribly.
When he was living outside, he would follow me daily for taiji practice. That was our time together. And of course during meal times too. At other times, if he wasn’t on the roof in his special “den”, he would be on our porch. He loved the shoe rack, especially during the rainy and colder days.
Zurik was not a demanding cat. He never demanded for attention too. He was a quiet cat, quietly doing his duty...
