Last November we lost Iman, our last Sumatran rhino species in Malaysia. The hope of ever seeing that species in the wild is now forever gone.
We must work together to ensure that the same does not happen to our Malayan tigers. There are less then 200 left in the wild.

SPCA rehomed almost 400 rescued animals in 2019, and also neutered more than 3,600 cats and dogs. Every month, we care for 150 cats, kittens,dogs and puppies in our centre. Our staff also attend to more than 50 animal-in-distress reports monthly!

Almost everyday we have surprises from public. We are upset with pet owners who abandoned their animals nearby our compound.
The alarming number of stray animals such as dogs and cats indicate the lack of owner’s awareness on the importance of neutering their pets to prevent from over breeding which led to abandoning.
Neutering your pets has more advantage not only for animal but also to EASE owner’s burden.
Let us be responsible pet owners. A pet is for life, not just for Christmas.

Pos Ekspres Matters

Dear Applicants,
We’ve had a few cases whereby applicants posted their documents to us, but there was no record of the tracking number when they checked at pos.com.my. This usually means that the mail had not even been picked up.
And of course, we did not receive these mails too.
In view of the above, to be on a safe side, we now request that applicants take a photo of the receipt(s), the form as well as the tracking number and email it to us along with the compulsory photo collage.

It Was Just Hairball, Silly!!

Referring to this post from early this morning where Pole refused food: https://myanimalcare.org/2019/12/22/the -boycott-of-the-year/, I postulated 6 possible reasons for it.
And started worrying….
Sometime mid-morning, Pole vomited some hairball and thereafter she was perfectly fine again!
So it wasn’t any of those 6 reasons! It was just a case of hairball causing some discomfort!
At lunch time, she was happily eating again!
