Malaysia has recorded at least 70 species of sharks and 85 species of rays.

Last year, four new species of shark and two species of ray have been listed as endangered and protected under newly amended Fisheries (Control of Endangered Species of Fish) (Amendment) Regulations 2019.

'Heroic' World War Two Dog To Be Honoured

A heroic Malaysian dog who comforted captured Scottish soldiers during World War II has been posthumously honored.
Peggy, whom the soldiers rescued as an abandoned puppy in Malaya, became a loyal and courageous ally to her Gordon Highlander comrades right till the very end.

Grey Tabby - a friend of our member came to Malaysia for a visit and he rented a car. When he started the car engine, he heard meowing from the engine area and he asked his friend to check. The kitten was inside. Good thing the friend heard the meowing, otherwise it would have been a roadkill. Kuching: Nine chubby infants were left at the entrance of an Animal Shelter at Kota Sentosa.
The infants were discovered by shelter staff Kee at 6.30am on Thursday while she was reporting for work.
Five infants were placed in a cardboard box, while the other four were placed in a pail.
The infants are believed to be less than one month old and have been taken to the 'paediatric' unit.

"Dr. Wendy called. She said the steroid given to Diamond doesn't work and her blood count still not increasing and she still look weak. The vet wanted to try giving cyclosporine for Diamond to suppress her immune system from destroying her red blood cells. One tablet of Cyclosporine is RM20 and Diamond needs 2 tablets per day.
