Dear all,
Residents in a housing area in Shah Alam are trapping dogs and sending them to the local council. This dog was caught and sent to the pound and when its feeder went to get it out, she was told she would be given the dog only if an NGO takes it in. We gave a letter saying that we would take the dog and once it was busted out if the pound, doggo was sent to vet for neutering, vaccinations and one month quarantine. Minty has been with us for over five years. She was a dog who took time to warm up to new people, but SPCA volunteers have helped her to slowly open up. Malaysiaโs biodiversity ranks amongst the highest in the world. But sadly, we have begun to lose many species in the wild. Just last year we saw the extinction of the Sumatran Rhinoceros. Out of 313 mammal species, 6 are critically endangered and 17 are endangered. Malaysia also has 686 endangered plant species including pitcher plants.

Elina From Russia Has Been Voluntarily Feeding 2 S.. 22nd May 2020, by SPCA Ipoh
Elina from Russia has been voluntarily feeding 2 strays during her stay in Ipoh. However, these 2 furbabies was taken away by Ipoh City Council (MBI) last week. Elina asked around for help and even drove all the way to Papan Landfill to look for them.
Through help of some friends, she found out that they have been handed over to ISPCA and today, they finally reunited at our shelter.
ISPCA will be arranging transportation to send them back to Elina's place.
