Rajah was found loitering at a construction site by CMS staff. As she was alone at the site, the good samaritans brought her to our shelter on late June. Rajah was seated majestically in the huge truck, and she enjoyed every scenery of the journey.

Nutella was rushed to the vet a few werks ago when a routine morning check-up at tge sanctuary by volunteers showed her gums were pale. She was also not eating much. The vet at St Angels diagnosed her as being anemic with her red blood cell count dropping at 12%. This was because she had hookworms. She was also slightly jaundiced and her liver enzymes was slightly high. Nutella is better now and her red blood cells have increased to 37 %. Tge normal range is 44 % and she is reaching that.

COW RESCUER IS ALL HEART
Elma Ščetić is a young woman with an old soul. She is very involved in dog rescue efforts in Bosnia, but recently has also taken on the role of COW RESCUER.
“I'm trying to save this little cow,” Elma wrote to us recently. “She's 2 months old and she's 200 kilometers from me. The man who sells her said that if I want to buy her I have to raise money by Wednesday!”

Guess who did a bit of travelling in the past few weeks?
This river terrapin was hatched in 2019. It was raised by Pakcik Wazel in Kg. Pasir Gajah, and was recently released during our terrapin release event on 15th August 2020.
On 5th September, it was caught by Mr. Soon, a local Kemaman resident in Kg. Pengkalan Pandan, Chukai. This feisty little one travelled approximately 25 km downstream in 3 weeks! How remarkable!

We weren’t sure how long he got himself into the cone ( lampshade ). We thought it was funny, so we took a short video of it. No worries, he is fine. We don’t see him anywhere near the cone these days. 😂
