We need to open our eyes, and we need to open them now ðŸ‘ï¸. The average population size of mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians have declined by 68% since 1970.

Human activities have destroyed and degraded forests, grasslands, wetlands and other vital ecosystems, threatening wildlife and people.

Remember this case? We received a PM asking to rescue the dog which had been in a drain the whole night. We then called Claws Veterinary Clinic and asked them if they could please get the dog as it was snappy. Whilst Claws chief vet Dr Nesawathi was on her way there, an independant rescuer Malathi Saravanan went and muzzled and secured the dog. That made it easier for the vet and her assistant to take the dog. We then called Sentosa assemblyman Dr Gunaraj George and asked him if he could sponsor...

Before you rescue an animal from the street, pause a moment. Make sure you have a backup plan, should animals shelter turns down your request. Most animal shelters do not always have a space. They have many animals on hands waiting to be adopted.
If you rescue the animal, please foster and nurse the animal temporary, until the animal is healthy. Take up a few photos, write a few basic descriptions about the animals. You can share it in social media; seeking people to adopt.
