Clara & Henryk: “We initially planned on adopting another dog, Dexter, from SPCA. We visited him every weekend for three months and Happy was his shelter neighbour. Whenever we visited Dexter, Happy would rush to his gate for attention! One day, we found Happy’s cage empty and for some reason I cried thinking that I wouldn’t see him again. That’s when we knew we had fallen in love with him.

Today the ISPCA committee and MCA city councillor Albert Ho Wai Mun visited the Ipoh Town Mayor Dato' Ahmad Suaidi to talk about the problem of over-population of strays.
The mayor has been paying attention to the TNRM program that has neutered over 3200 stray dogs, and definitely support this method of controlling the number of strays.
MBI will also continue to work with NGOs in order to effectively control the number of strays in Ipoh.

It is really heartbreaking and demoralising when rescued animals, especially puppies, do not make it. We are still coming to grasps with the death of two puppies that we admitted at St Angel's Veterinary Hospital. The first death was one of the three remaining puppies infected with parvo whilst the second death was the black little puppy rescued from the monsoon drain. According to the vet in regards to the:

Holiday season is coming, but that doesn't mean you have to leave your pets behind, especially not dumping them outside our gate, out in the elements, and not with the erratic weather that we have lately.
Bring your pets on holiday with you it'll be a lot of fun that way. If you can't travel with your pet, enquire your nearest pet shops for boarding services.

Siew Fong And Family Are Feeding About 10 Dogs 1st..

Siew Fong and family are feeding about 10 dogs ( 1st picture, 6 females and 4 males ) at their place at Jalan Loke Yew and she contacted us for help to catch and neuter them. This morning we went over and managed to get two female dogs. They have been sent to our panel clinic for spaying. We will go again for others.
